A paper published in the journal Molecular Cancer Therapies by scientists from St. George’s University of London witnessed “dramatic reductions ”
A recent paper published in the journal Molecular Cancer Therapies by a team of researchers from St. George’s University of London witnessed what they called “dramatic reductions” in severe glioma masses, which are a deadly form of brain cancer.
You can access the paper here.
As the study states:
“High-grade glioma is one of the most aggressive cancers in adult humans and long-term survival rates are very low as standard treatments for glioma remain largely unsuccessful. Cannabinoids have been shown to specifically inhibit glioma growth as well as neutralize oncogenic processes such as angiogenesis. In vitroresults were recapitulated in an orthotopic murine model for glioma, which showed dramatic reductions in tumor volumes when both cannabinoids were used with irradiation. Taken together, our data highlight the possibility that these cannabinoids can prime glioma cells to respond better to ionizing radiation, and suggest a potential clinical benefit for glioma patients by using these two treatment modalities.”
The study goes on to emphasize that patients who are suffering from brain tumours could benefit by incorporating cannabis into their healing routine. For the study, the team of researchers used THC, which is the psychoactive compound in the plant. They also used CBD, which doesn’t have any psychoactive effects.
Dr. Wai Liu, one of the study’s lead authors, said that:
“We’ve also shown that cannabinoids could play a role in treating one of the most aggressive cancers in adults…. The results are promising. There may be other applications, but for now, it could provide a way of breaking through glioma and saving more lives.” (source)
It’s truly unbelievable how much healing potential this plant has, and it’s wondering that, in Canada at least, you can now legally grow your own cannabis. Not many doctors are even aware of the information presented in this article, and since the publication written about in this article was published, a lot more information and science has since emerged.
If you’re interested in growing your own cannabis, which is the best way to go so you can insure it’s grown pure and organically, contact us. We can help you with the paper work and connect you with a doctor who is willing to write you the prescription you need to ensure you’re legally allowed to grow as much as you need.
